Orders
Class SetOfOrders

An aggregation of Orders that are assembled so that they might be managed as a group. The member Orders will generally be for a single Patient, and commonly issued by a single Provider, but otherwise these orders will have no other inherent relationships between themselves. This concept is different from an Order Set, Panel, or Battery, in that the Set Of Orders is composed after the orders have been created; wheras the latter concepts are defined before the order is created.

Attributes
Order healthcareOrder healthcareOrder

An Order that is a member of a Set of Orders.

«II» Id identifier identifier

"Contains a unique identifier for the Placer Group as referenced by the Placer application, the Filler application, or both." - HL7 Version 2.8, ORC-4
"A shared identifier common to all requests that were authorized more or less simultaneously by a single author. It could be the identifier of a requisition or prescription that contains orders for a set of medications, each individual medication order having the identifier of the parent order." - HL7 CIMI, Order.groupIdentifier
"A shared identifier common to all requests that were authorized more or less simultaneously by a single author, representing the identifier of the requisition, prescription or similar form." - HL7 FHIR, Request.groupIdentifier pattern.
Note that v2, CIMI, and FHIR link related orders together via the use of a shared grouping identifier, whereas the FHIM considers a Set of Orders to be a stand-alone concept in its own right.

«CS» Code priority priority

A code (e.g., routine, emergency), specifying the urgency under which the Set Of Orders is requested to happen.

«CS» Code status status

A code specifying the status of the Set Of Orders. Valid status codes should reflect the HL7 state machine, e.g., Active, Held, Canceled, Aborted, New, Nullified, Obsolete). Note that operationally, this status will likely represent the aggregate statuses of the member Orders. For example, in a set of five Orders, if four orders are "Completed" and one is "Active", this status would likely be "Active". When all five Orders are "Completed", this status might change to "Completed". The FHIM does not dictate how this status should be computed.
