Common
Class Attribution

"Attribution provides a formal pattern and reusable structure for attributes of a record that describes an activity in a process involved in producing, delivering or otherwise influencing the entry in a record. Attribution provides a critical foundation for assessing authenticity, enabling trust, and allowing reproducibility. Provenance assertions are a form of contextual metadata and can themselves become important records with their own provenance. Provenance statement indicates clinical significance in terms of confidence in authenticity, reliability, and trustworthiness, integrity, and stage in lifecycle (e.g. Document Completion - has the artifact been legally authenticated), all of which may impact security, privacy, and trust policies. Attribution provides a common reference model pattern that may be included directly within a clinical statement (e.g., the metadata associated with the recording of a clinical statement in a system) or within the Provenance pattern when it is preferrable to have such information external to but referencing the clinical statement (see Provenance). Note that, when included directly within a clinical statement, updates made to attribution attribute values will result in a versioning change in the instance. When part of the Provenance class, updates to provenance do not result in an update of the clinical statement referenced by the Provenance class (see Provenance.target)." - HL7 CIMI, Attribution

Attributes
«TS» PointInTime activityTime activityTime

"The period during which the activity occurred." - HL7 CIMI, Attribution.activityTimeRange

String applicationContext applicationContext

This optional property provides additional information about the application role of the participant at the time of the attribution. For example, the person might have been acting as the charge nurse at the time. Note that the person's professional credentials can be obtained from the Provider classes, but there are times when a person has more than one professional credential and wishes to assert that they are performing this action while acting under one of those credentials. Or, as in the charge nurse example above, there are privileges are situational and over and above the privileges implied by the person's credential (e.g., she's not only a nurse but at time of the Attribution, she's the charge nurse). Added for DaVita 3/2017.

«TS» PointInTime dateRecorded dateRecorded

The date (and optionally time) that the Clinical Information was recorded into the EHR. This date/time is potentially different from the time that the underlying condition occurred or was actually observed.
"The time at which the activity was recorded." - HL7 CIMI, Attribution.recordedOn
"The recordedDate represents when this particular AllergyIntolerance record was created in the system, which is often a system-generated date." - HL7 FHIR, AllergyIntolerance.recordedDate
"The recordedDate represents when this particular Condition record was created in the system, which is often a system-generated date." - HL7 FHIR, Condition.recordedDate
"The date (and possibly time) when the family member history was recorded or last updated." - HL7 FHIR, FamilyMemberHistory.date
"The date the occurrence of the immunization was first captured in the record - potentially significantly after the occurrence of the event." - HL7 FHIR, Immunization.recorded
"The date and time this observation was made available." - HL7 FHIR, Observation.issued.
"The date and/or time that this set of answers were last changed." - HL7 FHIR, QuestionnaireResponse.authored

Signature digitalSignature digitalSignature

"A digital signature on the target Reference(s). The signer should match a Attribution.participant. The purpose of the signature is indicated." - HL7 CIMI, Attribution.signature
"Legally binding Contract DSIG signature contents in Base64." - HL7 FHIR, Contract.signer.signature

ServiceDeliveryLocation location location

"Where the activity occurred, if relevant." - HL7 CIMI, Attribution.location

«CS» Code modeCode modeCode

"The modality by which the Entity playing the Role is participating in the Act. Usage Notes: For author (originator) participants, this is used to specify whether the information represented by the act was initially provided verbally, (hand-) written, or electronically. Examples: Physically present, over the telephone, written communication." - HL7 V3
Note that this property is included for compatibility with HL7 V3, and while it seems reasonable that such information would be useful, we are not aware of situations where this is commonly used, so it is modeled as optional. We do not anticipate this property being used much if at all.

Participation participant participant

"A person, entity, or other party responsible for execution of some facet of the activity." - HL7 CIMI, Attribution.participant
"Party which is a signator to this Contract." - HL7 FHIR, Contract.signer.party

Participation recordedBy recordedBy

"The person or entity capturing the attribution information." - HL7 CIMI, Attribution.recordedBy
"Individual who recorded the record and takes responsibility for its content." - HL7 FHIR, AllergyIntolerance.recorder
"The person who entered the order on behalf of another individual for example in the case of a verbal or a telephone order." - HL7 FHIR, MedicationRequest.recorder
"Individual who recorded the record and takes responsibility for its content." - HL7 FHIR, Procedure.recorder
